Note: It's much easier to steal parcels/packages from a street mailbox than having to walk to your front porch to do so. This is simply a means to make it easier on carriers and cheaper for the postal service at your expense and increased theft vulnerability. They are already crushing your packgages by forcing them in your mailbox as service goes to crap with unvetted carriers, or forcing you too use unsafe , inconvenient Cluster Boxes.
